The PADI Open Water Diver course is the world’s most popular scuba course and has introduced millions of people to the adventurous diving lifestyle. Once you breathe underwater for the first time and learn what you need to know to become a certified diver, you'll find out why it is such a popular course. The PADI Open Water course offers students the option of learning through the coursebook and classroom sessions or PADI eLearning. Your course includes classroom instruction, pool instruction, and open water dives at the Blue Heron Bridge. In addition, included in your certification class price, you will receive 2 vouchers for a 2-tank boat trip on our dive boat, Divocean to use after you are certified.

Students are responsible for purchasing course materials (crewpack) and digital video ($184+$30). For those who purchase course materials, students will attend a 5-7-hour classroom session prior to pool instruction. For those who take the PADI online portion of the course, students will complete a review of the material and testing prior to the pool instruction. Students also provide their own scuba mask, boots, fins, and snorkel. Learn more about preparing for your Open Water Diver course.

Discover Scuba

$249 per person

This experience allows you to try scuba diving in shallow water with an experienced PADI Instructor.  While not an actual scuba certification, you will learn how to use scuba equipment and gain an introduction to the underwater world. Discover Scuba occurs at Blue Heron Bridge at Phil Foster Park or a local swimming pool. The location will depend on the ages and comfort level of the participants, as well as the ocean tides. In addition to take the first step to scuba, this can also be a fun event activity for a birthday party, family function, or company event. All equipment is included.

What You'll Learn

Learn what wearing scuba equipment feels like and how easy it is to move around underwater while wearing it

Find out what it’s like to breathe underwater and learn whether you can be comfortable there

Learn some basic skills and safety rules that will carry over to your full scuba certification course when you take the next step

Referral Program

$249 per person

Have you finished your classroom and pool training elsewhere and are looking to complete your open water checkout dives? The program works by you completing the academics and confined water portions of the class at your local dive center, and then finish your dives with us! By completing the theory portion of the scuba certification course before leaving home, student divers eliminate the need to study on vacation. Students who study dive theory back home usually have a longer period of time to learn the information than those who try to cram studying into vacation hours. In general, referral students tend to have a better grasp of dive theory than those who study on vacation.

PADI Reactivate

$249 per person

*Includes e-Learning, full rental gear, and tanks

Has it been a while since you’ve been scuba diving? Do you feel like your scuba skills and knowledge are a bit rusty? The PADI Scuba Reactivate is just the refresher you need. It reacquaints you with diving theory and skills so that you're back to feeling comfortable in the underwater world in less than a day. Brush up on your scuba knowledge and skills. Improve your diving ability and get your scuba gear ready for your next scuba vacation or diving holiday.

What You'll Learn

This program is designed for certified divers who have not been diving recently or who desire to review their skills in the water

A PADI professional will review scuba skills you learned during your initial training and then practice fundamental skills in a pool or a confined water area (a pool or at the Blue Heron Bridge). Skill review includes: Dive planning fundamentals, problem management, breathing air at depth and recreational dive planning.
